Sanky Tank (Park)

Can u see a older child playing can't help

<

Can u see the Board and the boy aged above 10 playing near that only. India man

Sunday evening means fun for children who likes to play in the park. From a year old baby to ten year old enjoy see-saw, marry-go-round, swing etc. We happen to visit Sanky Tank park on sunday evening, which has been made for kids. Thanks to BBMP at least they have maintained this park properly. I have not seen much parks maintained with well equipped play ground for kids in Bangalore. Many kids come from Hebbal side, since this is the only park with more playground equippements. In Sanky tank we can see more than two hundred kids with their parents. It is really nice that they have planed it nicely.
We prefer taking our one year old daughter since she enjoys in the park. So many people prefer this place for walks, senior citizens with their walking friends, young couples, and children. I felt bad seeing children above ten years playing even though the board has been put there. There is no one to manage. Why this happens? After older children sit and spoil things which are for young children then they will take action. Why not before they spoil things they mange them, not to spoil children's play ground. Who is bothered?

Yana (Place in Karnataka)

Yana is a quiet hill station among the evergreen forest of Sahyadri mountains. Yana is only 25 kilometers from Kumta, a small coastal town and 40 kilometers from Sirsi. The region offers spectacular scenic beauty; lofty mountains, splendid rock formations, trickling waterfalls and a holy temple. The hill station is often frequented by tourists who like to gaze at Bhariraveswara Shikhara that stands 120 meters high. Another beautiful peak is the Mohini Shikhara that is ninety meters from base. These looming peaks are spectacular structures that have attained dimensions roughened through weathering turning into a photographer's delight.

Planning your trip to Yana hill station can be exciting experience. You can take the Sirsi-Kumta road, through the Janmane ghat which is 15 km from Sirsi and the Devimane ghat that is 35 km. Below the Devimane ghat you will come across a mud path that will lead you to the Yana village which is about 14 kilometers from there. The road being not metallic it is best traveling in an appropriate vehicle as no buses ply there either.

Sokkidre yana, Doddidre Gokarna !!!! A nice local proverb refers to Yana, a place, must to visited by adventurers, trekkers and nature lovers. As you near Yana, you will see two gigantic peaks towering around all the forests and mountains, The Bhairaveshwara Shikhara and the Mohini Shikhara. These two shikharas are the ones, which have made Yana distinct from other regions in the Sahyadri and have captured the imagination of generations of people. These two peaks are one of the mysteries of the Mother Nature yet to unraveled as two how there are here in the midst of forest terrain. The taller one ,Bhairaveshwara Shikhara stands 120 meters and the slightly smaller one Mohini Shikhara is 90 meters from its base. They are solid composition of black, crystalline limestone. These rocks have stood for centuries as witness to the growth of civilization.

There are two ways you can get there, Route-1, Take a bus from Sirsi which goes to mattighatta, devanalli via hegadekatta.Get down at a stop called "vaddi cross" and walk 6+kms from there. Route-2.Take a bus either from sirsi or kumta get down at a place called Anegundi near Kathagaal. This place is after the Devimane ghats if you are coming from Sirsi. From here it is around 16kms walk. You can hire a jeep in sirsi. Best season to visit is between December to February. Better if you take a local guide from Hegdekatta or Devenahalli.

Front view of the house of My Aunt's house near Shringeri and falls on the way to sringeri

I always dremt of an farm house somewhere in the outskirts of city. Don't know will it be true or not but we visited one of my aunt's place. Have a look, pictures were taken from the front of the house. The house is in the middle of the greenary. This place is near Shringeri, very beautiful. Everyone loves to have a house in the middle of the Greenary (Gadde) You know this place is so remote, no houses will be found till 10 kms. Hardly, we find some 10 house in that entire village. Very friendly, good food, I don't know how they lead thier life, no doctors nearby u need to go miles away to get the doctor. There is no gate to the house, night they are not scared of animals, there is some polls of wood which has been put so that cows need not enter. We really liked the place very much. Nice place to be out of this city pollution and tensions.

On Saturday our sudden plan for Tirupati was hectic. We started at 6pm in the evening. We took Hosakote, kolar and Chittor route, 250 kms from Bangalore. On the way you will not get good food. If you are okay with DABA food there are few DABAs before reaching Chittor 20 kms before. In chittor we had to stop for dinner. There we found only one hotel called Vishnu Prasad where it will always be crowded. Food was not so good but very spicy. We reached Tirupati at 12:30 pm. We had booking in Kalyan Residency. Since one of our friend referred Kalyan residency we thought we will try. We used to stay in Blizz or Hotel Mayura( Where food is really tasty but expensive).

Since, in Chittor I could not eat anything because of more spice in food. I was hungry and my acidity problem made me go through stomach ache. On the way I did take some medicine. We took an AC room because of humidity. The day we reached Tirupati because of rain, weather was little tolerable. Once we entered the room there came an relaxing sound from my husband since the room was good. I was pretty surprised to know there was food available 24hrs. I ordered for a Fresh lime soda which made me feel little ok with my stomach. By the time I had it my Husband and my daughter again slept. We had to get up early so we had to sleep for at least 5 hrs.

Morning thinking of the queue we got ready soon. This was the first time we took risk of not booking or not taking any letter from known people. We had a number of a person with whom we thought we could manage a safe dharshan since we had our daughter. I was very worried of the rush and people do not have any discipline. They push one another and it was pathetic even when we went in VIP dharshan last time. Remembering that I was thinking of how we will manage the crowd with our one yr old kid.

I was hungry I had breakfast in Kalyan Residency itself. By that time my husband spoke to the person who was supposed to take us to the Dharshan. He gave some contact and we left to Tirumala. When we met the person who was supposed to take us to the Dharshan told to wait for 2 hrs. As usual waiting was making intolerable. Since weather was good there was good wind, we somehow managed. May be it was not ok with our luck. We got the message that need to wait till afternoon.

My husband had nothing since he believes that once he has Dharshan he will have some food. I could not tolerate and our daughter also was hungry. We had to search some good hotel in that premises so that I could have my lunch. There was a Mourya Hotel where I had lunch which passed my expectations.

We came to the same person again after lunch. There were few more people with small children waiting for the same VIP dharshan. We felt relaxed and we waited for an half an hour again. Finally, he took us to the temple and we joined the same queue where people waiting for a day joined. It was 200 mts away. But one should see the madness of pushing. My daughter started crying seeing the crowd for the first time and she got hurt because of the push. No one bothers that there is a baby or an aged person.

I felt is this the thing what happens to see the god. Does god really asks us to hurt someone and see him? I really do not understand. I never like to have dharshan of god in such a way. Making your way by pushing and falling on someone.I thought I might not be able to have Dharshan since my daughter started crying because of people falling on. I thought that I will go back but where to go no place to go also. At last, he kept his both hands on the railings and I was in the middle we managed to get dharshan. Hey again there u find these temple coordinators to push everyone. They don’t bother u have baby with you or one is aged, no they push everyone or anyone. Not even a minute u can have a view. They are well trained people I felt and I screamed at one such person and said wait don’t push here is a baby. Finally, managed to come out in such a crowd. O man it is really mad crowd. I requested some policeman so that I came on the other side of the queue to come out so we both were safe.

We had to leave to Bangalore but changed the programe to early morning drive so that we could relax for 5 hrs. Had good dinner in Kalyan Residency. Got up at 3pm and left to Bangalore. There is another hotel on the way for Breakfast Woody’s near Kolar. Reached Bangalore at 8am.

Confidence

Hey this was sent to me by my Husband thought will share it with you all

That is called confidence.

========================== A hypothetical situation where 20 executives board an airplane and are told that the flight that they are about to take is the first-ever to feature pilotless technology: It is an uncrewed aircraft. Each one of the CEOs is then told, privately, that their company's software is running the aircraft's automatic pilot system. Nineteen of the CEOs promptly leave the aircraft, each offering a different type of excuse. One CEO alone remains on board the jet, seeming very calm indeed. Asked why he is so confident in this first unscrewed flight, he replies: "If it is the same software that runs my company's IT systems, his plane won't even take off." !!!!

That is called confidence.

Power Cuts in Bangalore

Opps....... power cuts in Bangalore has become a big problem. I feel so funny when we call BSCOM Help lines for enquiry, after a long wait you get the line then they tell 2 hours power is back further questioned they tell the same story of some wires has been damaged and they are working on that. Again after 2 hrs Phone does not work (either switched off or busy)
If rain or wind can make the lines damaged then what type of facilities we have in Bangalore.
Areas like Hebbal and Devanalli routes are too bad when rains.
yesterday, we had bad night because of power cuts. In this heat without fan, no one can sleep. That too if we are in apartments no place to air get inside the house.
This is the third time we have experiened power cuts for whole day or almost 12 to 14 hrs power cuts continuesly.
Hope KEB(BESCOM) will improve.
