Exercise can reduce impact of stress on cell aging

Washington, May 27 (ANI): Brief exercise can provide protection against the effects of stress-induced cell aging, according to new research from UCSF.
The scientists learned that vigorous physical activity as brief as 42 minutes over a 3-day period, similar to federally recommended levels, can protect individuals from the effects of stress by reducing its impact on telomere length.
Telomeres (pronounced TEEL-oh-meres) are tiny pieces of DNA that promote genetic stability and act as protective sheaths by keeping chromosomes from unraveling, much like plastic tips at the ends of shoelaces.
A growing body of research suggests that short telomeres are linked to a range of health problems, including coronary heart disease and diabetes, as well as early death.
"Telomere length is increasingly considered a biological marker of the accumulated wear and tear of living, integrating genetic influences, lifestyle behaviors, and stress," said Elissa Epel, PhD, who is one of the lead investigators and an associate professor in the UCSF Department of Psychiatry. "Even a moderate amount of vigorous exercise appears to provide a critical amount of protection for the telomeres."
The findings build on previous UCSF research documenting that chronic psychological stress takes a significant toll on the human body by impacting the length of telomeres in immune cells.
The new study has been published in the peer-reviewed online publication PLoS ONE.
In the study, 62 post-menopausal women - many of whom were caring for spouses or parents with dementia-reported at the end of each day over three days the number of minutes of vigorous physical activity in which they had engaged.
Vigorous activity in the study was defined as "increased heart rate and/or sweating." They also reported separately their perceptions of life stress that they had experienced during the prior month. Their blood's immune cells were examined for telomere length. (ANI)

The Obedient Wife

There was a man who had worked all his life, had saved all of
his money, and was a real "miser" when it came to his money.

Just before he died, he said to his wife..."When I die, I want
you to take all my money and put it in the casket with me. I
want to take my money to the afterlife with me."

And so he got his wife to promise him, with all of her heart,
that when he died, she would put all of the money into the
casket with him.

Well, he died. He was stretched out in the casket, his wife was
sitting there - dressed in black, and her friend was sitting next
to her. When they finished the ceremony, and just before the
undertakers got ready to close the casket, the wife said,

"Wait just a moment!"
She had a small metal box with her; she came over with the
box and put it in the casket. Then the undertakers locked the
casket down and they rolled it away. So her friend said,

"Girl, I know you were not fool enough to put all that money in
there with your husband."
The loyal wife replied, "Listen, I cannot go back on my word. I
promised him that I was going to put that money into the
casket with him."

You mean to tell me you put that money in the casket with
him!?!?!?"

"I sure did," said the wife. "I got it all together, put it into my
account, and wrote him a check.... If he can cash it, then he
can spend it."

FACTBOX - How to invest in gold and key price drivers

LONDON (Reuters) - Gold prices surged to record highs above $1,230 an ounce on Tuesday, as concerns over the potential for Greece's sovereign risk issues to spread through the euro zone sparked buying of the precious metal as a haven from risk.
Bullion prices have already reached new highs in sterling, euro and Swiss franc terms this week, but strength in the dollar camouflaged spot gold's strength, analysts said.
Gold broke its usual strong inverse correlation with the dollar to rally in line with the U.S. currency this month, as investors sought refuge from other markets in both assets.
Following are key facts about the market and different ways to invest in the precious metal.

HOW DO I INVEST?
SPOT MARKET
Large buyers and institutional investors generally buy the metal from big banks.
London is the hub of the global spot gold market, with some $18 billion in trades passing through London's clearing system each day. To avoid cost and security risks, bullion is not usually physically moved and deals are cleared through paper transfers.
Other significant markets for physical gold are India, China, the Middle East, Singapore, Turkey, Italy and the United States.
FUTURES MARKETS
Investors can also enter the market via futures exchanges, where people trade in contracts to buy or sell a particular commodity at a fixed price on a certain future date.
The COMEX division of the New York Mercantile Exchange is the world's largest gold futures market in terms of trading volume. The Tokyo Commodity exchange, popularly known as TOCOM, is the most important futures market in Asia.
China launched its first gold futures contract on January 9, 2008. Several other countries, including India, Dubai and Turkey, have also launched futures exchanges.

EXCHANGE-TRADED FUNDS
The wider media coverage of high gold prices has also attracted investments into exchange-traded funds (ETFs), which issue securities backed by physical metal and allow people to gain exposure to the underlying gold prices without taking delivery of the metal itself.
Gold held in New York's SPDR Gold Trust , largest gold-backed ETF, rose to a record high of 1,192.150 tonnes as of May 10, from 1,188.498 tonnes in the previous business day.
The ETF's holdings are equivalent to nearly half global annual mine supply, and are worth more than $53 billion at today's prices.
Other gold ETFs include iShares COMEX Gold Trust , ETF Securities' Gold Bullion Securities and ETFS Physical Gold, and Zurich Cantonal Bank's Physical Gold.

BARS AND COINS
Retail investors can buy gold from metals traders selling bars and coins in specialist shops or on the Internet. They pay a small premium for investment products, of between 5-20 percent above spot price depending on the size of the product and the weight of demand.

KEY PRICE DRIVERS
INVESTORS
Rising interest in commodities, including gold, from investment funds in recent years has been a major factor behind bullion's rally to historic highs. Gold's strong performance since the beginning of the 21st century has attracted more players and increased inflows of money into the overall market.

U.S. DOLLAR
Despite the recent drop in the usual strong correlation between gold and the euro-dollar exchange rate, the currency market still plays a major long-term role in setting the direction of gold.
Bullion prices typically move in the opposite direction to the U.S. dollar both because dollar-priced assets become nominally more expensive as the U.S. currency strengthens, and because gold is a popular hedge against currency weakness.

OIL PRICES
Gold has historically had a strong correlation with crude oil prices, as the metal can be used as a hedge against oil-led inflation. Strength in crude prices also boosts interest in commodities as an asset class.

FISCAL AND POLITICAL TENSIONS
The precious metal is widely considered a "safe haven," bought in a flight to quality during uncertain times.
Financial market shocks, as seen in the aftermath of the collapse of Lehman Brothers in 2009 and more recently in the case of Greece's debt problems, tend to boost inflows to gold.
Major geopolitical events including bomb blasts, terror attacks and assassinations can also induce price rises.

CENTRAL BANK GOLD RESERVES
Central banks hold gold as part of their reserves. Buying or selling of the metal by the banks can influence prices. On Aug. 7, 2009, a group of 19 European central banks agreed to renew a pact to limit gold sales, originally signed in 1999 and renewed for a further five years in 2004.
Annual sales under the pact are limited to 400 tonnes, down from 500 tonnes in the second agreement, which expired in late September.
Sales under the agreement have been low under the new pact, however.

HEDGING
Several years ago when gold prices were languishing around $300 an ounce, gold producers sold a part of their expected output with a promise to deliver the metal at a future date.
But when prices started rising, they suffered losses and there was a move to buy back their hedging positions to fully gain from higher market prices -- a practice known as de-hedging.
Significant producer de-hedging can boost market sentiment and support gold prices. However, the rate of de-hedging has slowed markedly in recent years as the outstanding global hedgebook shrank.

SUPPLY/DEMAND
Supply and demand fundamentals generally do not play a big role in determining gold prices because of huge above-ground stocks, now estimated at around 160,000 tonnes -- more than 60 times annual mine production.
Gold is not consumed like other commodities.
Peak buying seasons in major consuming countries such as India and China exert some influence on the market, but others factors such as the dollar and oil prices carry more weight.

Bengaluru once again emerged as the best Indian city when it comes to the quality of living for expatriates, even as New Delhi, Mumbai and Kolkata improved their rankings in the global list of cities compiled by HR consultancy Mercer for 2010.

According to the Worldwide Quality of Living survey 2010 for 221 cities globally, Bengaluru remains the best placed among Indian cities in the global list at 140th rank this year, an improvement from its 142nd rank in last year's list.

"This year, unlike the last, we have seen an upswing in the ranking of Indian cities, largely on account of relatively stable political environment and the easing of foreign trade," Mercer Information Product Solutions (India business leader) Gangapriya Chakraverti said.

The country's national capital, New Delhi, climbed to 143 rank in this year's list from 145th slot last year and financial hub Mumbai moved up four places to 144th rank.

However, Indian cities do not fare well compared to their global peers, as the list is topped by Vienna (Austria), followed by Switzerland's Zurich and Geneva at second and third positions, respectively.

Vancouver (Canada) and Auckland (New Zealand) remain joint fourth in the rankings, followed by three German cities -- Dusseldorf (6th) and Frankfurt and Munich both at 7th slot.

Switzerland's capital, Bern, and Australia's Sydney come at the 9th and 10th ranks in the global list of quality of living.

In Asia, Singapore, ranked at 28th place, is top-scoring, followed by Japan's Tokyo at 40th slot.

Among other Indian cities on the list, Kolkata has been ranked at 145th rank, while Chennai was the only Indian city which saw a decline and is placed at 153rd rank. The report said that the drop may be on account of new cities being included in the overall study and is not a direct reflection of the quality of living attributes in Chennai.

Iraq's capital, Baghdad, remains at the bottom of the list at 221st place this year as well, the survey noted.

Mercer has also compiled a 'Eco-city Ranking 2010', which is based on criteria like water availability, water potability, waste removal, sewage, air pollution and traffic congestion in the cities.

Indian cities did not fare well in the Eco-city rankings either, with Bengaluru at 198th rank, followed by Chennai (202), New Delhi (123), Mumbai (215) and Kolkata (218).

"We foresee eco rankings focusing on attributes such as traffic congestion, water availability, air pollution and waste management, getting a lot more attention in the times to come," Chakraverti added.

WATER

A small Stry

A Small Story…

A boy and a girl were playing together. The boy had a collection of marbles. The girl had some sweets with her. The boy told the girl that he will give her all his marbles in exchange for her sweets. The girl agreed.

The boy kept the biggest and the most beautiful marble aside and gave the rest to the girl. The girl gave him all her sweets as she had promised.

That night, the girl slept peacefully. But the boy couldn't sleep as he kept wondering if the girl had hidden some sweets from him the way he had hidden his best marble.

Moral of the story: If you don't give your hundred percent in a relationship, you'll always keep doubting if the other person has given his/her hundred percent.

This is applicable for any relationship like friendship, employer-employee relationship etc.

Give your hundred percent to everything you do and sleep peacefully

DRINK WATER ON EMPTY STOMACH

It is popular in Japan today to drink water immediately after waking up every morning. Furthermore, scientific tests have proven its value. We publish below a description of use of water for our readers. For old and serious diseases as well as modern illnesses the water treatment had been found successful by a Japanese medical society as a 100% cure for the following diseases:

Headache, body ache, heart system, arthritis, fast heart beat, epilepsy, excess fatness, bronchitis asthma, TB, meningitis, kidney and urine diseases, vomiting, gastritis, diarrhea, piles, diabetes, constipation, all eye diseases, womb, cancer and menstrual disorders, ear nose and throat diseases.

METHOD OF TREATMENT

1. As you wake up in the morning before brushing teeth, drink 4 x 160ml glasses of water
2. Brush and clean the mouth but do not eat or drink anything for 45 minute
3. After 45 minutes you may eat and drink as normal.
4. After 15 minutes of breakfast, lunch and dinner do not eat or drink anything for 2 hours
5. Those who are old or sick and are unable to drink 4 glasses of water at the beginning may commence by taking little water and gradually increase it to 4 glasses per day.
6. The above method of treatment will cure diseases of the sick and others can enjoy a healthy life.

The following list gives the number of days of treatment required to cure/control/reduce main diseases:
1. High Blood Pressure (30 days)
2. Gastric (10 days)
3. Diabetes (30 days)
4. Constipation (10 days)
5. Cancer (180 days)
6. TB (90 days)
7. Arthritis patients should follow the above treatment only for 3 days in the 1st week, and from 2nd week onwards – daily.

This treatment method has no side effects, however at the commencement of treatment you may have to urinate a few times.
It is better if we continue this and make this procedure as a routine work in our life. Drink Water and Stay healthy and Active.
This makes sense .. The Chinese and Japanese drink hot tea with their meals ..not cold water. Maybe it is time we adopt their drinking habit while eating!!! Nothing to lose, everything to gain...
For those who like to drink cold water, this article is applicable to you.
It is nice to have a cup of cold drink after a meal. However, the cold water will solidify the oily stuff that you have just consumed. It will slow down the digestion.
Once this 'sludge' reacts with the acid, it will break down and be absorbed by the intestine faster than the solid food. It will line the intestine.
Very soon, this will turn into fats and lead to cancer. It is best to drink hot soup or warm water after a meal.

A serious note about heart attacks:
· Women should know that not every heart attack symptom is going to be the left arm hurting,
· Be aware of intense pain in the jaw line.
· You may never have the first chest pain during the course of a heart attack.
· Nausea and intense sweating are also common symptoms.
· 60% of people who have a heart attack while they are asleep do not wake up.
· Pain in the jaw can wake you from a sound sleep. Let's be careful and be aware. The more we know, the better chance we could survive...

Cardiovascular disease in India and the impact of lifestyle and food habits

Cardiovascular disease in India and the impact of lifestyle and food habits

(Source :- Expresshealthcaremgmt.com)

Cardiovascular disease is the world's leading killer, accounting for 16.7 million or 29.2 per cent of total global deaths in 2003. With modernization, a large proportion of Asians are trading healthy traditional diets for fatty foods, physical jobs for deskbound sloth, the relative calm of the countryside for the stressful city. Heart-attack victims are just the first wave of a swelling population of Asians with heart problems. While deaths from heart attacks have declined more than 50 per cent since the 1960s in many industrialize countries, 80 per cent of global cardiovascular diseases related deaths now occur in low and middle-income nations, which covers most countries in Asia.

In India in the past five decades, rates of coronary disease among urban populations have risen from 4 per cent to 11 per cent.

In urban China, the death rate from coronary disease rose by 53.4 per cent from 1988 to 1996. A report released last week by the Earth Institute at Columbia University warned that without sustained effort on individual and national levels, the coming heart-disease epidemic will exact a devastating price on the region's physical and economic health. In Professor Philip Poole-Wilson, president of the World Heart Federation words. "We're trying to warn people sufficiently early so that they can do something about it, but this isn't a disease you can cure by turning on an electric switch."

The World Health Organization (who) estimates that 60 per cent of the world's cardiac patients will be Indian by 2010. Dr Timothy Gill, an Asia-Pacific specialist with the International Obesity Task Force, a medical NGO that coordinates with the WHO on obesity issues feels that of all Asians, South Asians have by far the worst problems when it comes to heart disease. Nearly 50 per cent of CVD-related deaths in India occur below the age of 70, compared with just 22 per cent in the West. This trend is particularly alarming because of its potential impact on one of Asia's fastest-growing economies. In 2000, for example, India lost more than five times as many years of economically productive life to cardiovascular disease than did the U.S., where most of those killed by heart disease are above retirement age.

Studies indicate that South Asians have elevated levels of LDL cholesterol and triglycerides, while also suffering from a deficiency in HDL cholesterol (good cholesterol, which helps clear fatty buildups from blood vessels). In addition, South Asians tend to gain weight in the abdominal region (Waist: hip ratio >1.0 in men, >0.9 in women) and are at greater risk of heart disease. Environmental factor like low birth weight, malnutrition also possibly predisposes Indians to increased risk of diabetes and heart attacks in adulthood.

Statistics suggest that South Asians seem more naturally vulnerable to heart disease than other ethnic groups. Lancet 2000 study showed that, even after adjusting for all known risk factors; South Asians in Canada appeared to have a higher rate of heart disease than Europeans or Chinese living there. Some doctors think that this vulnerability can be explained by the "thrifty-gene" theory, which holds that South Asians adapted over many generations to the region's frequent famines. Now with a very recent overabundance of food, their bodies are having difficulty making a metabolic U-turn and the result is high insulin intolerance, with accompanying raised levels of diabetes and obesity.

The 10 leading selected risk factors for death and disability, by type of country as given by WHO:

2 Unsafe sexual practicesHigh blood pressureHigh blood pressure

3 Unsafe water, poor sanitation Tobacco consumptionAlcohol consumption

7 Vitamin A deficiencyLow fruit and vegetable intakePhysical inactivity

Some new markers have been identified: Nearly 95 percent of people who developed a fatal cardiovascular disease had at least one of these major risk factors: high blood cholesterol, high blood pressure, smoking, diabetes besides a poor diet and overweight. But it can also develop in the absence of any traditional risk factors and evidence is accumulating that several other risk factors may help predict or contribute to cardiovascular disease.

Among the leading new potential culprits: C-reactive protein (CRP), Homocysteine, Fibrinogen, Lipoprotein (a). Information about how these four substances are connected to cardiovascular disease is still emerging, and researchers continue to debate their importance. Indeed, there's much to be learned before screening for these substances becomes as routine as getting the blood pressure or cholesterol checked. Routine screening of the general public for these markers is not recommended but there may be a role for screening in people who have a strong family history of cardiovascular disease, have early onset disease with no apparent traditional risk factors, or whose disease isn't well controlled despite optimal management of traditional risk factors. It's not clear yet what role these four substances play in predicting or causing disease and testing for these substances isn't fully standardized. There is hope that they may help lead to additional prevention and treatment strategies for cardiovascular disease.

C-reactive protein : (CRP) is a protein produced by the liver as part of the normal immune system response to injury or infection. CRP is an inflammatory marker and inflammation has a central role in atherosclerosis the accumulation of plaques of fats, cholesterol and other material in the arteries. High levels of CRP in the blood have been associated with an increased risk of cardiovascular disease, including heart attack and stroke. But it's not clear if CRP actually causes heart disease or is just a sign of inflammation, which may cause heart disease. The AHA and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommend CRP screening for an intermediate risk a 10 percent to 20 percent chance of developing coronary heart disease in the next 10 years. Low risk: Less than 1 mg/L, Average risk: 1 to 3 mg/L, High risk: Over 3 mg/L. If the CRP is greater than 10 mg/L, it's likely the result of an infection or other condition and isn't useful in assessing the cardiovascular risk and the test should be repeated in about two weeks, or after the infection is gone, to assess cardiovascular

Homocysteine: It is an amino acid normally present in the blood and is utilized by the body to make protein and to build and maintain tissue. Studies indicate a link between high plasma levels of homocysteine and an increased risk of stroke, certain types of heart disease, and peripheral vascular disease. Raised levels may be associated with four times higher risk than normal homocysteine levels. The exact mechanism of its action isn't clear and as with CRP, it's not known if homocysteine is a cause of cardiovascular disease or a marker of its presence. Recent work suggests that increased homocysteine levels may eventually cause the tissues lining arteries to thicken and scar. Cholesterol can build up in those scarred areas, providing a surface for blood clots to form. There's no consensus on what homocysteine levels are optimal, but in general, less than 12 micromoles is desirable. Readings in healthy people can range between 5 and 15 micromoles. Elevated homocysteine levels can be decreased by dietary supplementation of folate, vitamin B.

Fibrinogen: Although fibrinogen is needed for normal blood clotting, its excess may promote excessive clumping of platelets and can result in thrombosis in an artery, leading to a heart attack or stroke. Besides inactivity, excessive alcohol consumption and estrogens, whether from birth control pills or hormone therapy, which elevate fibrinogen, smoking is the most significant lifestyle factor that raises fibrinogen levels. The normal range for blood (serum) fibrinogen is 200 to 400 mg/dL, and levels around 400 mg/dL is associated with a twofold increase in risk of heart attack or stroke.

Lipoprotein(a): It's formed when a low-density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol particle attaches to a specific protein. Studies show that an increased level of Lp(a) is associated with an increased risk of cardiovascular complications, including early coronary heart disease, heart attack and stroke. Elevated Lp(a) level, generally do not respond to most lipid lowering agents but niacin, omega-3 fatty acids or estrogen may help in some cases.

Deaths from cardiovascular diseases, principally acute myocardial infarction and cerebrovascular accidents, have decreased substantially over the past two decades, largely as a result of advances in acute care and cardiac surgery, aggressive antihypertensive therapy, the recognition of the hazards of tobacco abuse, improved nutritional patterns coupled with a decrease in cholesterol values in the general population, and an increased emphasis on physical activity.

However, these developments have produced a growing population of patients who have survived a myocardial infarction or who have a stable, if not controlled, pattern of angina pectoris due to atherosclerotic coronary artery disease. These patients, and those with peripheral vascular disease, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, diabetes mellitus, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, are potential participants and likely benefactors of heart smart strategies that include change in dietary habits and cardiac-rehabilitation programs. These techniques are particularly useful in the Indian context where the semi urban and rural population is largely unaware about the importance of lifestyle techniques in prevention of cardiovascular disease.

Cardiac rehabilitation is a medically supervised exercise and counseling program designed to help overcome some of the physical complications of heart disease, limit the risk of developing additional heart trouble, help a person return to an active social or work schedule, and improve the psychological well-being. It has four main components: Medical evaluation, supervised exercise, lifestyle education and psychosocial support. Cardiac rehabilitation takes time at least six months and it's not always easy. It's also not suited for everyone with a heart problem, and the results may vary for reasons beyond the participant's control.

Does 50ps matter.

Hmmmmmmmmm is this the condition of our educated people. Very funny thing happened on the way to Mysore.
We were about to visit Krishna temple near Channapatna. My husband went to have a darshan. While I was in the car, heard some noise. I peeped out to look what was that. There I saw a person fighting for 50ps. It did not take much time to realise what might have happened.
Next to the temple there was a public toilet which said pay and use. The person who was arguing with the caretaker of the toilet was almost senior citizen. His problem was why to pay 50ps to him. The caretaker was explaining politely that he has to pay the cleaners but, this old person did not pay at all. I was really wondering for 50ps why this old man fought. U KNOW WE CANNOT KEEP OUT COUNTY CLEAN OR WE COULD MAKE IT LIKE ANY OTHER COUNTRY. We never think big.
I was about to go and pay that guy my hubby entered the car and had to leave the place.

Beggers

I always think why we see lot of beggars in India, near the temples, on the roads, near signals. Don't you think we are the people who make them grow more in numbers? We encourage them to beg since we all are good hearted people who have money at least to give them. Whenever we see mother with a baby, when we see old age person, when we see handicapped person, we do give them money why? We think that he can at least have some food. Do we know how many make use of that money? No one knows what they will do from that money. Some might buy food, some might drink, etc., I feel so bad of their situations to beg. I feel they can earn and live but no, they want easy life. There are instances where parents send their children for begging, even we see they put the child on the footpath and make people put money. When I visit few temples, I really feel no one is there to control this. Few beggars even come and hold your legs, disgusting is isn’t it.

Once I met a friend of mine who took the small boy who was begging with him and got him the food. I was wondering what was he up to. He said "if I would have given him the money he might have misused it that why". There was a smile on my face. Yes we learn every day, every moment. That day I decided, if I am going to help in the same way.

Hey, whenever you give money to any beggar think ten times. There are several organizations which are into helping poor and need ones. Either contact them or get them food instead of money.

PEACE OF MIND (I got a mail guys read it)

Once Buddha was walking from one town to another town with a few of his

followers. While they were traveling, they happened to pass a lake. They

stopped there and Buddha told one of his disciples, "I am thirsty. Pls do

get me some water from that lake there."

The disciple walked up to the lake. When he reached it, he noticed that

right at that moment, a bullock cart started crossing through the lake. As

a result, the water became very muddy, very turbid. The disciple thought,

"How can I give this muddy water to Buddha to drink!"

So he came back and told Buddha, "The water in there is very muddy. I

don't think it is fit to drink." After about half an hour, again Buddha

asked the same disciple to go back to the lake and get him some water to

drink. This continued for a few times.

After sometime, again Buddha asked the same disciple to go back.

The disciple reached the lake to find the lake absolutely clean and clear

with pure water in it. The mud had settled down and the water above it

looked fit to be had. So he collected some water in a pot and brought it

to Buddha.

Buddha looked at the water, and then he looked up at the disciple and

said," See what you did to make the water clean. You let it be.... and the

mud settled down on its own - and you got clear water"

Your mind is also like that! When it is disturbed, just let it be.

Give it a little time. It will settle down on its own.

You don't have to put in any effort to calm it down.

Having 'Peace of Mind' is not a strenuous job.

It will happen. It is effortless !!!

In life everything goes on................Keep Going and Keep Smiling

..............not bcoz of something, but inspite of everything !!!

11. Ganesh can you imagine the cost. No ways...........

Singapore as the name indicates Lion city. It’s a beautiful county. I was really happy to visit Singapore.

As we entered the Airport of Singapore I was surprised to see the management. I was surprised to see many Indians there. Cleanliness which we would never find in India. People are obedient to the rules and regulations. In India we keep only our house clean not the surroundings. Why?
Why are we like this? We are not bothered if the plastic covers are spreaded all over.
Who cares it is not my job?

There is lot to see in Singapore. Buildings, traffic, malls, china town shopping mall, sentosa an entertainment place, song of the sea, night safari a unique thing, bird park etc.

Other then hot weather and getting water for drinking paying 2 dollars for half a liter was little expensive. Which is 70rs converted to Indian money.

A sad thing

We were traveling back from Mysore to Bangalore. I wanted to visit the Somanathpura Temple. We had never been to this place before even though we traveled to Mysore many a times. It was my wish that I wanted to see the temple which was built by Hoysalas. It is really nice thing to see the artistic thing in that and the stone built temples. Finally, we lead to the Somanath pura route which is 32 km from Srirangapatana.

We did not know any of the details of this temple. Only Information got was the road is not nice. When the Indian Roads are fine tell me. WE SPEAK ABOUT INFRASTRUCTURE AND OTHER THINGS. In a speed of 20 kms we had to drive. No proper roads, no boards. We felt so bad that I felt we will return back because of the roads. But my Husband said no we will visit. So finally, with the help of villagers we did reach the place by 1hr 15 minutes. By the time we reached there we heard " odi odi bagilu haktha idare". They meant it is closing run fast. We took the tickets and ran inside but the temple inside part we could not manage to see. The purohit had gone closing the temple's main door. Watch man was shouting we are closing come out soon. After the bad roads and journey we had to return back without darshan.
